Hello

"The greeting in my own hand: Paul." Colossians 4:18.

So ends the letter of that old missionary of Christ. (He had to move the chains binding his wrists out of the way to sign his name.) These all say Hello to you, too: Timothy, Aristarchus, Mark, Justus, Epaphras, Luke, Demas. And, you, believers in Christ, be sure to say Hello to your brothers and sisters elsewhere. Oh! And to Nympha. And to the church in her home, too! Despite earthly hindrances, God's working a wonder-work whether in grand assemblies or in quiet homes. So. What was the letter's final, final greeting? Grace be with you all. (Like its opening: Grace to you all and peace from God our Father.)

We greet brothers or sisters today remembering the world's fetters hindering us. And, thankful, surrounded by fellow hopers, we anticipate immanent release from earth's bindings. Grace. God's grace.
