Cry

"Christ suffered once for sins so that he might bring us to God," 1 Peter 3:18.

The righteous for the unrighteous. Jesus, the righteous one, for us, the unrighteous ones. He, having been to put to death in the flesh, (but!) he, having been made alive in the Spirit! Yes. For us. So, if God wills for us to suffer unjustly for a while in this temporary world - what's the big deal with that? Better to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. A flaming reckoning day awaits rebel humans (devastating like the days of the flood). On that day people baptized into Christ will find their cry to God for good consciences satisfied. The Risen Lord, Jesus, ruling right beside God, heaven and earth subject to him, knows his own.

We visit with a brother or sister today trusting Jesus will ferry us soundly through the fiery ordeal. And, together, we shout hallelujahs to God for clearing our consciences in Jesus' resurrection!
