"God has sent the Spirit of his son into our hearts," Galatians 4:6.
Why did God send his son's Spirit into us? Because he, God, has adopted us. In Christ. (His son.) And since he adopted us in Christ (his son), he sent the Spirit of Christ (his son) into our hearts. And the Spirit of Christ (his son) in our hearts cries out to God: Abba! Father! So, when our hearts call out to God, we call out to God as sons (and daughters) to our father, our abba, taught by the Spirit of his son. Slaves no longer! Children of God. Heirs in Christ (his son) of all his promised blessings: sky kingdom.
We visit today with a brother or sister, children of our mutual father, calling on our God. And, giving thanks together, Christ's Spirit spurs us on to love and actions worthy of God's children.
