F

"However many depend on the works of the law, are under a curse," Galatians 3:10.

Huh? Yes. Whoever thinks they're made right with God by following the Law, is wrong. Wait! Isn't the Law supposed to teach the blessed way to life, doing the right and avoiding the wrong? Yes. It is. And it does. Anyone may live by doing its works. Doing. And anyone gets cursed to death in failing it. We failed. Big fat F. So, how to get life? The Good Book says: Faith, like Abraham had, is the way to life. But the Law is not about faith, it's about doing. Working its works. (No mistakes!). And here's God's new deal: Christ took the F for us, and gave us his A+. We believe in that. We trust in him.

As we meet with a brother or sister today, we share the faith-walk in Christ's perfect work. And, together, we give thanks to God for his marvel, freed from the curse, to a new covenant of life.
