Sequence

"You are Abraham's seed," Galatians 3:29.

Yeah ... well ... ok ... so ... is that a great point? ... or what? Reminder time - here's the backward sequence of events: You (and you, and you, and you) are one in Christ. You dressed yourself with Christ. You were baptized into Christ. You believed in Christ. You were set free from the Law's curse in the faith of Christ. You are the recipient of God's 4000 year-old promises to Abraham. Yeah, and the promises to his one seed/offspring, in Christ. You, in Christ, are, together, Abraham's singular offspring. You, in Christ, by faith, are heirs in line with the promise. Heirs of what? Redemption, to eternal life. After you die, heaven! Get it? Amazing grace!

We meet with a brother or sister today, eager to affirm God's promises to us. And, one together, we praise God for his redeeming love gushing out to us through Christ.
