Loyalty

"Always be ready to explain to any askers why you have hope within you," 1 Peter 3:15.

Yes. Why do we? Why do we have hope? Why do we have hope inside us? Can we explain it? Of course we can! Because God raised Jesus from the dead. Because God made promises to us that by faith in Christ he will raise us up to life, too. So we trust him. That's about it. And even if people do us wrong, we still will honor Christ as holy. Yes. And we will share that hope with gentleness and respect. No matter what. Because of the expectation we have in God's loyalty.

As we visit with a brother or sister today we share in our common hope. And so together we offer thanks to God for keeping our hope in heaven securely.
