"You must change and become like little children," Matthew 18:3.
Says who? Jesus. And what if we don't want to turn and become like kids? Well, then, Jesus said: You'll never enter the kingdom of the skies. Yipes! Where'd that line come from? His followers had asked him who'd be the greatest in that kingdom. And that's how Jesus answered. Yeah. In fact, these kids' angels in the sky always look at the face of God. In fact, Jesus stood a kid right in the middle of them and said: Humble yourself like this kid, and you're the greatest. In fact, he said, that if they received a kid like this one, they received Jesus himself.
Today, we receive each other, brothers and sisters, humbled by the presence of our Master. And, together, meekly, we give thanks that Jesus receives us, his younger siblings.
