Whom

"I will give you as a covenant for the people," Isaiah 42:6.

Who's giving him? Jehovah God. God's giving whom? His servant. For whom is he giving him? For the people, the nations. For everybody. OK. So who's this servant? The one God chose. In whom God's soul delights. On whom God has put his Spirit. Who will not break a bruised reed. Or put out a barely flickering flame. Who won't get discouraged. Or weaken to bring justice. Whom God called in righteousness. Whose hand God's holding. Whom God's making a light for the nations. Who will open eyes of the blind. Free people in dungeons. Who will enlighten the darkened. That's whom God gives. Who and whom. Jesus.

When we meet with a brother or sister today, we receive Christ as God's new covenant with us. And, together, we give all praise and glory to the Lord.
