Expects

"What can I bring with me when I come before the Lord?" Micah 6:6.

Come on, now! What does God expect from us?! Ya never know what makes God happy! Sure, we messed up; we sinned; we did wrong. No question about that! Lies, pollution, crime, hate and murder, global climate change, never ending wars, the whole lot! Our fault! So what does God want? We offer all sorts of gods their daily food; we give animals in bloody oblations; we pour out precious oil onto mother earth! What more to sacrifice - our kids?! No. God already told what: Do justice. Love kindness. Walk humbly with him.

We meet today with a brother or sister bowing in the presence of our God. And, together, we give thanks that he shows us clearly what is good, what he expects. Sky kingdom.
