"You also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit," Ephesians 2:11.
And how does God do this? In Christ. Being built by whom? God's Spirit. Into what? God's temple. Who's being built together? All human types. How's God doing this? In Christ. God befriended us all in the real body of Christ crucified. How's God doing this? In Christ. In one Spirit, God gave us access to himself. No longer outcasts. No longer aliens. No longer dead. No longer recipients of rage. We belong. Yes! We belong to God. Alive. Citizens. Saints. Parts of God's living house. Jesus, the living cornerstone. God's temple. You. Elect in Christ.
As we meet today with a brother or sister, we meditate and marvel on God's electing us through Christ. And, together, we stand amazed that God worked through Jesus to choose us.
