Feel

"They were counted worthy to suffer for the name," Acts 5:41.

Who was worthy? The witnesses whom Jesus sent out to confess his name. (The apostles, right?) And how did they suffer? They got arrested. (Publicly.) They got beaten by the authorities. (Brutality.) They got shamed. (Dishonored.) Why? Because they said God raised Jesus up from the dead so that their people could repent and have forgiveness from their sins. (Good news.) So, how did they feel about this? They were glad. Glad that they were convicted guilty of confessing the name. (Name above all names.) Counted worthy to be called by the name.

Visiting with a brother or sister today, we confess the name that brings us repentance and forgiveness. And, together, we joy in the joy of the Lord's calling. Sky kingdom.
