Nestling

"Peace be upon Israel," Psalm 125:5.

Peace, by God's grace. Not all descendants of Jacob are Israel. The remnant faithful to you, O God, these make up true Israel. Yes. Those whom you called, both from the Jews as from among the Gentiles, these entail your own Israel. You called them in the gospel of Christ. All of your spiritual Israel, Jews and Gentiles, will be saved. These who trust in you, O Lord, like immovable mountains, abide forever. Yes! You, O God, surround us like mountains nestling the valley. You do good to us. You stop evil doers. Your peace endures for ever. All praise to you!

As we visit with a brother or sister today, we extend to each other the peace Jesus brought into us. And, together, as his Israel, we lift up our voices to glorify the God of the ages! Sky kingdom.
