You, who? The Lord God, Jehovah. Happier than what? Actually, happier than whom? Happier that all those people who've got a lot of food and drink and stuff, but who pursue the lie. Who thrive on misinformation, fake news, vain words. They shame folks whose honor is the Lord. Instead, they should put their trust in the Lord, and not put down folks whom God has set apart for himself. Yes, You, Lord, have made me happier than all those people who listen to made up stories trying to find Your good favor. But You, Yourself, You alone, O Lord, bring safety. With You comes relief from distress. Comes grace. Comes gentle and peaceful sleep.

We remind each other today, brother or sister, that joy comes in the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ. Only the gospel brings hope. And, together, we give joyful thanks for Jesus' redemption.
