Affirm

"Peace from God our father, and love, with faith, and too, from the Lord Jesus Christ, to the siblings," Ephesians 6:23.

So what's the blessing being pronounced here? Christ has sent out his ambassador to announce God's peace and his love, along with faith, to the brothers and sisters. Who are these siblings? All those who had formerly been dead through trespasses and sins, but whom God had cleansed by the washing of water with the Word. Those who, by his grace, through their faith in Christ, God made alive and raised them up together with Christ to God's own right side. That's the blessing. Christ announces it through his congregation to every agency in the skies and on earth.

When we meet with a brother or sister today we affirm the wonder of God's blessing. And, together, we give thanks to Jesus for offering his life to our eternal benefit.
