Relentless

"But are not grieved over the ruin of Joseph," Amos 6:6.

Who are not grieved? The cream of the crop of the nation: the best people of the best nation on earth. And who's Joseph? Well, it referred to Joseph, one of Jacob's twelve sons. Jacob's other name was Israel. So, here, Joseph stood for the kingdom of Israel. OK. So, what's the problem? Israel's best of the best luxuriated in wealth and position careless that godless injustice ruined the rest. So, God judged that the elites would be the first into slavery and exile. God undoes all nations through justice and equity. Kingdoms of earth pass into oblivion, but God's sky kingdom ever advances.

When we meet with a brother or sister today, we mourn for the state of earth's injustices. But, together, we give joyful thanks that God works his relentless will through Jesus, Lord and Savior!
