Song

"They sing the song of God's servant Moses and the song of the Lamb," Revelation 15:3.

Who's singing? The winners. Where are they? On the shore of a fire-glass sea. Where is that sea? In the sky. What are they singing about? Singing about God's amazing actions. About God's truth and justice. About God, king of the nations. About God, the only holy one. About God, before whom all nations worship with fearful respect. About God, who uncovered overwhelmingly plainly his righteous actions. Again: who's singing? The winners. Winners over what? Winners over the devilish beast, winners over its icon, winners over the number of its name. How did the winners win? They lived faithful to Jesus to the end.

We talk with a brother or sister today, we encourage each other to press on, press on through the fog. And, together, following Jesus we sing to God, the worker of mighty salvation deeds.
