"We are His, His people, and the sheep of His pasture," Psalm 100:3.
O God, Jehovah! The whole earth shouts out to you! We serve you gladly! We come to you singing our hearts out! You, O Lord, are God, the only one! You made us. We belong to you. You count us as your wealth! [Note to reader - sometimes song writers render the line above like this: We are just sheep. As though people are no more than stupid animals. But that's just not what the Good Book says: Sheep are the wealth of ranchers.] You count us as your riches! And we praise you, we bless your name! And why? because you, O God, are good! Your mercy goes on and on. You're faithful forever to every promise you ever made, from one generation to the next. You, O God, You are good!
We recognize that one brother or sister today (that annoying one) likewise highly valued in God's wealth. Worth the cross of Christ to our God! And, together, we, the flock of his pasture, become the praise of his glory.
