"In believing, may the God of hope fill you up to the full with all joy and peace, overflowing over you in hope, in the Holy Spirit's power," Romans 15:13.
Joy. Peace. Hope. Filled with them. Filled up. Filled up to the full. Filled to the brim. Filled to flowing over the brim. Overflowing. Joy. Flooding over you. Peace. Abounding. Hope. Carrying it out fully. Joy. Peace. Hope. Bring it all to pass completely, extravagantly. Over you. Over you who believe. Who believe in Christ. Jew and Gentile. Who believe in the root of Jesse. (The root is Jesus, of course.) Filled by whom? God. What God? The God of hope. (There is no other!). By the Holy Spirit. Filled to overflowing with what? Joy. Peace. Hope. Who's doing the overwhelming flowing? God. The God of hope. Filling you up. Let God do this.
With a brother or sister today, we receive God's filling. Trusting him we have joy, peace, and hope. And, together, we give thanks for God's mercy.
