Indestructible

"You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek," Hebrews 7:17.

The Lord God made that announcement directly to Christ, testified by King David's witness: the Lord said to my Lord. About a thousand years before Christ was born. Order of Melchizedek: First, implies setting aside the Levitical Law due to its weakness and uselessness to perfect anybody. Implies a new covenant. Second, establishes its high priest on the basis of an indestructible life. Third, high priest with an oath by God. Therefore: Jesus! Holy. Innocent. Unstained. Separated from sinners. Perfected. One sacrifice (his own, once for all time). Raised from the dead. Exalted. At God's right hand. Indestructible. Better hope. Draws us near to God.

We meet with a brother or sister today and say, Wow! What God has worked! Thank you, Lord! You are an awesome God! There's none like you!
