Welcomed

"They all said the same," Mark 14:31.

Who said? Boldest of all, Peter. And then the other ten, too; James, John, Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James (Alphaeus' son), Thaddeus, and Simeon (not Judas Iscariot - absented himself to betray). So what did these all say? Never to deny Jesus. Even under death penalty. But, in fact, they all, every last one of them, ran for their lives. But, in fact, after Jesus welcomed them back, every single one one of these lived out their lives serving their Lord to death.

We get together with a brother or sister today in reminder of our promises to follow. And together we give heart-broken thanks that God welcomes us back, too, when we've denied him.
