"He started to dread deeply and to to be distressed," Mark 14:33.
Who did? Jesus. Jesus? We thought he never worried about anything. Never anxious. Well. We thought wrong. He did. So what did he do about it? He prayed desperately. He invited his most closest friends to plead together in his most deepest agony. And, yes, they really wanted to. But just couldn't handle the intensity so they went to sleep. But he pled. Alone. He begged to be saved from the terrors ahead. Though he was heard by his Father, his Abba, the ordeal ahead held steadfast. So he gave it to God and went to the cross. That's what he did.
As we visit with a brother or sister today we give our own worries over to God. And we give him thanks in trust that God will ever honor Jesus' faithfulness for us.
