"He's a minister in the real tent secured by the Lord, not by man," Hebrews 8:2.
Who? High priest Jesus. Where? Right at God's throne. In the skies. What's he doing? He's priesting in the real, Holy sky place. (God's real throne room, of course.) Moses had built a model of it, copy of its shadow, on earth in the Sinai desert. Every exhausting detail of the model's structure, all intricate rules about priests, Levites, bloody sacrifices, even pitching of tribal tents - and so much more - dealt with the facsimile, not the original in the sky. Jesus deals with the original right now: not a human built model, not its shadow temple in Jerusalem. The real deal. The model is so over. Interceding for you (and me, us all) to God. He's saying things like, Father, forgive them. And God listens.
We collect with a brother or sister today, and give thanks to God (blessed be he for ever!) for hearing us through his Son, our minister, our High Priest.
