"Repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations," Luke 24:47.
So. The Hebrew Bible wrote that Christ must suffer and then rise from the dead three days later. It also said repentance and forgiveness in Christ's name must be preached to all nations. And that that preaching would begin in Jerusalem. And it did. And it continues to go out to all nations of earth. The message: Repent! Unless you repent, you will all perish. The message: Salvation in the living Christ!
We visit with a brother or sister soberly today in God's invitation. And together we give heartfelt thanksgiving for God's grace powerfully following repentance.
