Automatically

"The earth grows fruit by itself," Mark 4:28.

Yes, it produces automatically. That's what it's designed to do. A farmer plants seed, and the earth does its thing: the earth just grows the seed into maturity ready for a rich harvest. No matter how much the farmer worries over it, the earth just does what God made the earth to do. Produce fruit. And that's the way the kingdom of God is. Somebody puts the word out there, and human hearts respond as God designed hearts to respond. They grow the seed to rich harvest yielding the love of Christ.

When we visit with a brother or sister today, we tell the story of Jesus. And, together, we give thanks to God that God designed us to mature into the story of his love.
