Prep

"Prepare the way of the Lord," Mark 1:3.

That's what the Lord's people do while they wait for him to show up. They prepare. They prepare for his appearing, for the revealing of the Son of man. Coming in the clouds. When all the tribes of the earth will see him. Yes. For when Jesus sends out mighty angels to collect all his chosen people from one end of the cosmos to the other. So. His people prepare for that. While they wait. So what does the prep look like? Mostly, like changing hearts and minds. By his Spirit, to look like Jesus. Who went around doing good for all people. Who did the will of his Father.

As we wait today with a brother or sister, we encourage each other to walk worthily of Jesus' calling. And, together, we praise God thankfully for sending his Son back then to deal with sin, and once again soon to save those waiting for him eagerly.
